Chivas USA vs Los Angeles
CARSON, CA — The Los Angeles Galaxy continued their unlikely renaissance while Chivas USA had to settle for more postseason frustration on Sunday at The Home Depot Center.
Landon’s Donovan’s penalty kick in the 73rd minute was the difference as the Galaxy defeated Chivas 1-0 on Sunday in the second game of their Western Conference Semifinal Series. The Galaxy, who advanced on 3-2 aggregate, will play the Houston Dynamo, who defeated the Seattle Sounders FC 1-0 in the other semifinal earlier Sunday, on Friday at The Home Depot Center. The winner advances to the MLS Cup Final on Nov 22 in Seattle.

HOUSTON, TX — It took five tries in three competitions this season, but the Houston Dynamo finally defeated Seattle Sounders FC — and in doing so reached the Western Conference Championship for the third time in four seasons.
It took a goal by Brian Ching in extra time, but Houston held on from there to defeat Seattle, 1-0, Sunday at Robertson Stadium and await either the Los Angeles Galaxy or Chivas USA in next weekend’s conference final.
