Final teams qualified; Official Draw on March 3
FIFA and the National Organising Committee (NOC) for the FIFA U-20 World Cup Canada 2007 are pleased to announce that with this weekend’s qualification of Mexico and Costa Rica, the table of 24 participating teams is complete and all eyes now turn toward the Official Draw, which will take place in Toronto on Saturday, 3 March.
The Official Draw is the most highly anticipated pre-competition event for the 24 teams that have earned a berth at this summer’s tournament as well as for fans of the beautiful game worldwide. It sets the stage for the competition by determining the opponents that each team will face during the group stage as well as identifying the venue and date for each match.

The full list of teams that have qualified for the FIFA U-20 World Cup is as follows:
Host: Canada
AFC: Japan, Jordan, Korea DPR and Korea Republic
CAF: Congo, Gambia, Nigeria and Zambia
CONCACAF: Costa Rica, Mexico, Panama and the United States
CONMEBOL: Argentina, Brazil, Chile and Uruguay
OFC: New Zealand
UEFA: Austria, Czech Republic, Poland, Portugal, Spain and Scotland

Official Draw Broadcast Live Across Canada
The Official Draw for the FIFA U-20 World Cup Canada 2007 will take place at the Liberty Grand Entertainment Complex in Toronto and will be broadcast live from coast to coast by the official Host Broadcaster for the competition, the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC), from 16.30h (EST) on CBC Sports Weekend. Fans worldwide will also be able to follow the draw live on the internet exclusively via FIFA.com.
Updated Match Schedule
FIFA and the NOC for the FIFA U-20 World Cup Canada 2007 have also announced an adjustment to the tournament schedule. Match #33, originally scheduled to take place in Toronto, has been moved to Montréal’s Stade Olympique. Match #33, which will be a final group stage match between the teams C1 and C3, is still scheduled to be played on 8 July.
The adjustment has been made to accommodate everyone attending both the Grand Prix of Toronto event and the FIFA U-20 World Cup match that were scheduled on the same day at Exhibition Place in Toronto. Match #36 on 8 July between the teams A2 and A4 has not been affected. Toronto ticket packages remain unchanged with nine event days, sold in a variety of multi-day packages. Montréal fans, meanwhile, will have access to an additional event day, as their package increases to six event days.
Match Kick-Off Times
A final schedule with kick-off times of all matches will be available shortly after the Official Draw.
