Impact still looking for first MLS victory
Coming off a 5-2 defeat to Thierry Henry and the New York Red Bulls, the Monteal Impact arrived at Rio Tinto Stadium still looking for their first MLS victory. The going did not get any easier for the men in blue as looked to be in tough playing against one of the top sides in MLS in Real Salt Lake in a difficult road environment.

With the Impact struggling to score goals thus far and with it often a challenge for even the best teams to find goals in the fortress that is Rio Tinto Stadium, Montreal likely went into this one knowing that they were going to be in for a battle. With Montreal’s midfield having shown plenty of mettle in the team’s first four matches, Arnaud and company were going to have to own their stripes against a formidable Real Salt Lake midfield headlined by Kyle Beckerman and Canadian International Will Johnson.
