Vision, guidelines lacking in TFC blueprint
Some years ago, Paul Sturrock, the former Scottish international soccer player and current manager of League Championship side Plymouth Argyle, received a call from a preordained Alex Ferguson, who was midway through his highly successful reign at Manchester United.
The setting for the received phone call was a hospital bed, due to an unfortunate heart attack Sturrock had suffered.
Encouraged by the call from a long-term friend of such stature, Sturrock was a little taken aback by Ferguson’s initial reaction to his unfortunate plight.
