A long suffering fan of Canadian soccer since 1971 when I started
attending games of the Montreal Olympique of the pre-Pelé NASL.

The Trois Rivieres Attak have released veteran forward Darko Kolic. The move comes as part of a plan for the club to fulfill its role of a reserve team and to develop young prospects.

Kolic spent 10 seasons in the USL-1, playing mostly with the Montreal Impact. In 2007 Kolic was the second leading scorer for Trois Rivieres with 16 goals.

This winter Kolic is the leading scorer in the QCSL

, an indoor league based out of Montreal.

The Attak will be holding open tryouts in Montreal from January 25 to February 1st. In line with the move to youth, the tryouts are only for players born between 1985 and 1990.

NOTE » Players wishing to tryout should contact coach Marc Dos Santos.
