In July, Canada will be all about soccer…

Time to gear up for the FIFA U-20 World Cup Canada 2007! The Organizing Committee is looking for volunteers in a wide range of capacities to assist in hosting what will be the largest spectator single-sport, sporting event EVER held in Canada. Get involved… Sign-up today!

24 countries will be competing at the FIFA U-20 World Cup Canada 2007 from June 30-July 22, 2007 in six cities across Canada – Victoria, Burnaby, Edmonton, Toronto, Ottawa and Montréal.

For such a big event to be successful the Organizing Committee will depend on the enthusiasm, friendliness, and helpfulness of its volunteers. Our foreign guests will have frequent dealings with volunteers, which will leave a lasting impression of Canada as a host country.

Volunteer opportunities cover a broad spectrum, including Accreditation, Transportation, Media Volunteers, Match Day Crew, and Protocol. These positions will be needed throughout the tournament, with length of service varying between five days and two months.

Prior to the tournament, the Official Draw ceremonies will be held in Toronto on March 3, 2007. This will also require a group of volunteers to assist in the following duties: Drivers, Ushers, Translation, and Media Attendants.

We encourage all interested persons to apply to volunteer in their respective host city. Sign-up today so that you too can be part of history.
